The Ideal Spine

We’ll take pictures of your spine. We compare these images with published standards. We’ll point out any deviations we see. Naturally, these findings will direct our specific care recommendations.

Corrective Care Protocol

After symptomatic relief, patients are offered the option to pursue Corrective Care. This is where dramatic, longer-lasting spinal changes are made. This is done through a specific protocol of adjustments, traction and exercise.

  • Adjustments help restore segmental integrity to your spine, decrease abnormal weight distribution and avoid spinal decay.

  • Traction delivers a constant force to help retrain and remodel the spine to counter the effects of long-standing postural distortions.

  • Exercises, designed for each patient’s particular spinal abnormality, are used to strengthen weaker areas of the spine.

Documented Spinal Changes

With high levels of patient involvement and objective standards used to measure success, expect to see dramatic spinal changes.

Chiropractic BioPhysics® or CBP®

It is a more comprehensive, systematic, scientific approach to chiropractic that provides predictable results. Support for this claim includes a considerable amount of data from research, the experience of numerous flourishing CBP® practitioners, and the longevity of the approach. Chiropractic BioPhysics® combines standard chiropractic joint adjustments with mirror image® (opposite position) postural adjustments, mirror image® spinal and posture exercise, and mirror-image® traction and stretching to provide more permanent relief and improved health for patients through spine and postural correction. Spine & Posture Adjusting

Spinal joint adjustments in our office differ from traditional spinal manipulative therapy (SMT). Although we do use SMT it is not our primary form of adjusting the spine and posture. In our system we define adjusting as moving the spine and posture from an abnormal posture toward a normal posture. This is achieved using drop tables and instruments that stimulate the nervous system through the joints of the spine and help the brain learn a new, more stable posture and spinal position.

Spine & Posture Stretching

Ligaments hold the spine in place. When the spine weakens and posture distorts over time the ligaments mold into these weaker positions. We have specific machines that help restore the normal curves in the spine by strengthening ligaments and restoring balanced posture.

Spine & Posture Movement Therapy

During this portion of our movement therapy we apply Mirror Image Exercises® to teach you how to move within your new spine and posture.

After determining your postural distortions we are able to teach you the Mirror Image® (opposite) of these distortions to correct muscular imbalances and strengthen your postural muscles and improve your posture.

Your Doctor Asks some important questions of interest to Clark residents - Chiropractor Clark Your Doctor Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Where do most Clark residents get their first vertebral subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of vertebral subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Clark newborn.
